Weight Loss

I started with Weight Watchers in January of 2012.  By following their Points Plus program, I was able to lose 45 pounds from start until May of 2012.  During the summer of 2012, I was able to maintain the loss, but I was not quite as good at tracking as I needed to be to continue to lose weight.  WW was a program that worked for me, however, I really wanted to find something that did not cost $18.95 a month.

In October 2012, I started tracking using My Fitness Pal.  It is a free program that will take into account your activity level when helping you create the program for yourself.  Also, it has a great app for the iPhone, complete with a scanner for foods you buy at the store and a very large database of restaurant foods with nutritional information already saved.  It also has a very extensive list of exercises for calculating calories burned.
